Education

Christinia discovered her calling in birth work through the transformative experiences of bringing her own children into the world. She started her career as a doula in 2017 at Birthingway College of Midwifery. She has continued to expand her doula repertoire and is a certified Traditional Heath Worker through the state of Oregon and has trained with DONA international.

Recognizing the need for in home lactation support, Christinia continued her education and became Certified in Lactation Education with Breastfeed LA.

Feeling called to make a larger impact on the community, she gained knowledge and credentials as a Health and Childbirth Educator through ICEA, Lamaze International and hospital systems.


Motivation

Christinia recognizes the significance of effective communication and respect for personal needs fosters space for positive birthing experiences. As a devoted seeker of authenticity, she is committed to providing unwaveringly compassionate and non-judgmental support throughout each persons distinctive journey.

Her passion lies in providing culturally specific, trauma-informed birth and postpartum support to black and brown communities.

When not supporting others on their birthing journeys, Christinia finds solace in quality family time, snuggling her pups, reading, and expressing her creativity through many outlets. She also has a deep love for cooking, baking and sharing meals with others.
